Acceptance, Empathy, and a Safe Space

Sexual abuse can shake a child’s world, creating heavy feelings of fear, confusion, shame, guilt, and sometimes emotional disconnection. Parents often experience deep distress and uncertainty as well. At Rimonim, healing begins with empathetic acceptance, sensitive conversation, and a safe space that allows emotional processing and helps rebuild a child’s sense of self-worth and security.

Centers Supervised by the Ministry of Welfare

The centers operate under the supervision of the Ministry of Welfare and are affiliated with the Talpiot nonprofit – an established organization with many years of experience working with children, youth, and families in crisis. Services are provided at no cost, with no need to present pay stubs, and without stigma. Children and teens who have been sexually harmed or who have engaged in harmful sexual behavior, and for whom no police complaint has been filed, are eligible for treatment – subject to professional assessment and a referral from a social worker in the local social services department.

Multi-Layered Treatment

Treatment at Rimonim includes a comprehensive, multi-layered approach: individual emotional therapy, ongoing parent guidance, and family, dyadic, or group therapy as needed – along with a range of advanced methods such as play therapy, art and movement therapy, psychodynamic therapy, EMDR, Somatic Experiencing (SE), and more. Each treatment plan is personally tailored to the child and family, with the understanding that every emotional journey is different.
